Danny needed to raise $5,000 to finance his trip to
the 2009
Deaflympics. We are pleased to
announce that we have met our goal!!!
Thank you for being so
generous and for all you
have done so that I can go to Taipei and represent
you and the entire United States. I live in a
wonderful community and am overwhelmed by
your support. Now it is up to me to bring home the
hardware. NOTHING BUT GOLD!
Sincerely, Danny Kelly
The Texas Hold'em and Corn Hole tournament held
on 8/14 was a tremendous success! Thanks to all

Ht:
6'6" Wt: 230
lbs Pos: Center/Forward
Scouting reports list him as strong, fast and nimble
with a 30-inch
vertical and can easily dunk. He can use his
strength on the post,
lead the fast break, or score from outside the arc.
He averaged 21
points and 12 rebounds a game in High School for the
Strongsville
(Ohio) Mustangs and had a 67.1 field goal percentage.
Basketball has always been a passion for Danny and he
credits his
coaches for teaching him the game. They include
High School
coaches Joe Lynch, Jeff Eicher, Darren Collins, Dave Clark
and
Herb Pauley. But his real development began with the Strongsville
Recreation Department run by Tucker Neale and the Score More
Athletic Club
(SMAC) AAU organization that he runs as well.
Probably Danny's biggest influence came from his AAU coach
Doni Moody
who was not only a personal trainer, but a motivational
leader.
In
2007, writer Tim Warsinskey covered
Danny's story in the Cleveland Plain
Dealer Locker Room section in a piece
called "Silence
is Golden".
The word is spreading on the tremendous
skills of Strongsville's Danny Kelly, and
even if he can't hear it, he knows he's
making an impact on the team and at his
school. See the
